Canada moved the 2026 archive from early-season sample to a clearer competitive pattern. Antonelli now has four Grand Prix victories from the opening five rounds, while Russell's Australian win and Canadian Sprint victory keep him second in the standings despite his retirement in Montréal. Mercedes has not been flawless, but it has been the only team turning different circuit types into regular wins.
Ferrari has become the nearest points challenger. Lewis Hamilton's second place in Canada and Charles Leclerc's fourth gave the team a strong double score, lifting Ferrari to 147 constructors' points. McLaren remains close enough to matter on pace, but Lando Norris's Canadian retirement made the gap to Ferrari more visible before Monaco.
Red Bull's position is more complicated. Max Verstappen's Canadian podium was the team's strongest recent signal, and Isack Hadjar's fifth place added important points, but Red Bull still trails the top three constructors. The next useful question is whether the Canadian podium becomes repeatable front-running form or remains a high-quality rescue result.
